Terms of use

These terms cover your use of the websites hprione.com and hprione.com.br (the “site”), run by me, Hugo Prione Duarte. By using the site, you agree to them.

My apps have their own terms. See Apps below.

1. What the site is

The site presents my work as a software developer: who I am, the services I offer, and the apps I’ve built. It’s informational. Nothing on it is a binding offer, and any consulting engagement is governed by a separate written agreement between us.

2. Content and intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, the text, design, code, images, and audio on the site, including the podcast archive, belong to me and are protected by copyright. You’re welcome to read, listen, link to any page, and quote short excerpts with credit. You may not copy, republish, or use the content commercially without my permission.

App names, icons, and screenshots belong to their respective owners. Apple, iPhone, iPad, Mac, and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc.

3. Acceptable use

Please don’t:

  • try to gain unauthorized access to the site or the server it runs on;
  • disrupt the site or overload it, for example with automated requests at abusive rates;
  • present the site’s content as your own, or show it inside another site in a way that suggests I endorse it.

The site links to sites I don’t control, such as LinkedIn, X, Mastodon, the App Store, and my apps’ own sites. I’m not responsible for their content or their terms.

5. Availability

I keep the site up to date and running, but I may change, move, or remove any part of it at any time. I don’t guarantee that it will be free of errors or always available.

6. Liability

The site is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, I’m not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer protection laws give you and that can’t be waived.

7. Privacy

8. Apps

Each app has its own terms, which cover that app:

This page used to hold SmartTracker’s terms and conditions. They now live on SmartTracker’s own site, at the link above.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.

10. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, I’ll update the date at the top of the page.
