Privacy policy

This policy covers the websites hprione.com and hprione.com.br (the “site”), run by me, Hugo Prione Duarte. It explains, in plain language, what happens to your information when you visit.

My apps have their own privacy policies. See Apps below.

Summary

  • No cookies. The site doesn’t set any cookies.
  • No analytics, ads, or trackers. The site loads no analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts, and no third-party fonts or embeds. Everything it serves comes from its own domain.
  • No forms or accounts. There’s nothing to sign up for and nothing to fill in.

Server logs

The site runs on a server I manage. Like almost every web server, it keeps standard access logs: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, your browser’s user agent, and the page that linked you here, if any.

I use these logs only to keep the site running and secure, for example to diagnose errors or block abusive traffic. They are kept for a limited period and then deleted automatically. I don’t combine them with other data, and I don’t share or sell them.

This applies to everything served from these domains, including the podcast archive at /podcast/.

Cloudflare

Traffic to the site passes through Cloudflare, which delivers pages quickly and protects the site from attacks. To do that, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, and your browser may send it anonymous network error reports. Cloudflare handles this data under its own privacy policy.

When you email me

The contact links open your own email app. If you write to hugo@hprione.com, I receive your email address and whatever you choose to send. I use it only to reply to you and, if we end up working together, to carry on that conversation. I don’t add you to any mailing list, and I don’t share your messages with anyone.

The site links to other websites, such as LinkedIn, X, Mastodon, the App Store, and my apps’ own sites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and I’m not responsible for how they handle your information.

Apps

Each app has its own privacy policy, which describes what that app does:

Children

The site doesn’t knowingly collect information from anyone, children included.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR (European Union), the LGPD (Brazil), and the CCPA (California) give you rights over your personal data, including the right to know whether I hold any, to access it, to correct it, and to ask me to delete it. Server logs are processed on the basis of my legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and working.

In practice, the only personal data I may hold about you is what’s in the server logs and any emails you’ve sent me. To exercise any of these rights, write to hugo@hprione.com.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, I’ll update the date at the top of the page.
